WHITE WEDNESDAY~~MARBURGER
BLOGGER TROUBLES AGAIN???
Just a quick note to say that I have tried to post comments on some of your blogs but when I click the comment link the box just sits there all white...nothing will come up.
It's so frustrating after several tried that I just give up.
Not sure why it does it but it does. Do any of you get this now and then?
So I'm not ignoring you, it's just that it won't let me do it! I will keep trying though that's for sure.
Bless you all!
Karen
The Belle Of The Ball
If you are lucky enough to know Theresa Cano of the infamous Garden Antqs Vintage then you know why I call her the Belle of The Ball. She is charming, beautiful, her smile is infectious, she just gives off an aura. As if it isn't enough that she is a wife, mother of two, has a real job, and has booths at two antique malls~~she also sets up twice yearly at Zapp Hall in Warrenton and hosts a fabulous blog party. Her last party was over the top! Fabulous food, wine, tons of bloggers~~some from as far away as France, and a book signing to boot.
There's Ms. Cano on the left giving some direction to none other than Deb and CD from Talking Trash, who also had a fab booth at Warrenton.
A crowd gathers around the book signing table.
Okay so here's where I have to out myself about my poor memory for names... The handsome dude on the left is the owner of Park Hill Collections (sorry I forgot your name), in the middle is the fabulous Melanie of Seed Box Antiques, and sorry I never met the woman on the right... tsk tsk.
The grub.
Stan Williams author of The Find.
More bloggers getting to know each other.
And now for pics of T's booth. She had a lot of nature and botanical themes going on, and I think she is the only other person I know who loves wasp nests like I do. She has tons of them...
Here's an inside tip for shopping in T's booth~~rumor has it that when Mr. Garden Antqs Vintage is manning the booth you are likely to get DEEP discounts... Just kidding Theresa!! You go Cruz...
BEAUTIFUL BASKETS!
Friday I received a huge box in the mail…I found it at my front door when I went to get the mail. I knew I was getting my baskets from Pam of PRIMITIVEBASKETCASE http://primitivebasketcase.blogspot.com/ and was surprised at the size of the box…I new I ordered three baskets in a swap we did but wow, huge!
I had no idea the size of them…I am so delighted and can’t wait to put them up, hopefully on my family room beams. Oh they are just beautiful as those of you who have received Pam’s talent already know. So here’s what I received….aren’t they gorgeous!
ROBIN’S EGG BLUE SHAKER BASKET
Here’s another of my sheep with blanket that was a special order from a girl who lives here in Burlington. She wanted just stars on it – these things have been walking out of here – I’m on my second batch from Justina from Peper Creek Gatherings http://pepercreekgatherings.blogspot.com/.
She has done such a wonderful job on them. Thanks Justina.
Have a super wonderful day and week – I’ll be visiting all of you soon – maybe not on the same day but I do make my rounds and do catch up now and then. For me, I’m staying in and sewing and not have a single sound in the house…not turning on the TV till evening and no radio either…I love the quite!!!!
P.S. I see my following is growing by leaps and bounds…Thank you everyone for giving me the confidence that my blogging is not in vain.
But you know….I’d do it anyway because it’s an outlet for me to share what I love whether it’s crafting, my home or just plain ‘talking’ – it’s wonderful having friends who share the same things.
Big hugs to all, Karen
Leftovers~~Brenham Texas
If ever in Brenham, Texas please do yourself a favor and drop by Leftover's. Now they probably won't be hosting a bash like the one we get to attend, but still the shop will knock your socks off honey. This time they had decked the room with the gorgeous stone fireplace out in Christmas finery~~including huge white bears! OMG! Thanks for your Texas size hospitality Michael and Ed!
